What Previous Attendees Are Saying

Korin M.

Thank you for gathering such important information and getting it to us. Thank you also for being so skilled at asking questions and reflecting what you hear, it is refreshing and comforting to see and hear such respectful interchange.

Lou Ellen

I am loving Rashelle Litchmore's talk.
Not that racism and other forms of discrimination are happening in schools, but that it's being talked about and showing that it's not the students but the system and biases which punish students and their families.

Muthoni W.

My notebook is about to get full!! I am almost taking word for word from the speakers. Last night too was profound on tech detox. I just discovered I am addicted and I need to walk the talk.

Nat.

Loving this already -I'm in Perth, Australia. I've been scribbling away from Ross Greene's and Elaine Taylor-Klaus interviews. Loving it ! I'm hoping to catch the rest tomorrow.

Colleen S.

Thank you! I cant wait to be able to use these strategies with families that I work with and make things easier for the child and family.

Marie B.

Thank you for putting together this summit. The speakers provided a wealth of information and tools I will be using with my children and students.

Taniesha Burke, PhD is excited to invite to our annual summit. She is "the brain" behind this online summit for parents and families. For many years Dr. Burke has been concerned about the inaccessibility of scientific findings on child development and parenting. The information is often locked behind paid academic journals, making it difficult for parents to integrate the results into their everyday life. The challenges of the COVID pandemic encouraged Dr. Burke to create the summit to translate evidence-based practices into relatable language for parents to support their children.

She is a Parent Coach, Certified Parent Educator, Developmental Psychologist and Researcher. Dr. Burke has over 10 years experience working with youths and families around the Caribbean, USA, Canada, and Germany. She holds a Ph.D. in Family Relations and Human Development from the University of Guelph, Canada, and undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology from the University of the West Indies (Jamaica). Dr. Burke has also completed training on the effects of trauma on child and adolescent development, the Adlerian Parenting Perspective, Second Step Program, and the Strengthening Families Program. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, she lives in Berlin, Germany, with her husband and two sons.
